In the Nissan spirit of never staying stagnant and always advancing, just recently Nissan unveiled research that would enable vehicles to receive signals from a driver's brain, changing the way we think about driving to the very core. The Brain-to-Vehicle (B2V) technology is being developed to enhance reaction times and eventually lead to vehicles that can adapt to make driving easier and more enjoyable.

The B2V technology focuses on two main functions: Predict and Detect. If the technology can intercept signs from the driver's brain about to make a movement, like hitting the accelerator or turning the wheel, it can then initiate driver assist features that can do the action more quickly than a physical reaction could. The Detect side of it has to do with detecting discomfort, and then change the driving style because of it when in autonomous mode. It can also change the cabin environment, providing you with a more relaxing cabin.

The B2V technology will be unveiled and on display at this year's CES 2018 trade show in Las Vegas. Although it seems like something you'd read about in a Sci-Fi novel, the B2V technology is the first of its kind and will be demonstrated during its unveiling, and is undoubtedly something to look forward to!
