Crossovers are a hit on the streets near the Doylestown, Philadelphia, and Warminster areas. They're perfectly sized for easy driving while offering more interior space for a great driving experience-but when it comes to the features you want in a vehicle, which one stands apart from the crowd?

Fred Beans Nissan of Doylestown is here to help with our 2019 Nissan Kicks vs. Honda HR-V comparison. We took two very popular models and put them side by side, so you can choose the right one for your driving needs. Let's get started.

Nissan Kicks vs Honda HR-V: Performance & Fuel Economy

When it comes to a smooth driving performance, both of these crossovers deliver. This is thanks to the Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) found in each of the models. These transmissions provide guess-free shifting as well as elevated efficiency. However, while the commute might be smooth, the fuel economies differ slightly in the Nissan and Honda models.

When the 2019 HR-V is standardly equipped, you will receive an estimated efficiency of 28 MPG in the city and 34 MPG on the highway, leaving you with a combined MPG of 30. While this is pretty impressive for a crossover, the Nissan has it beat.

With the 2019 Kicks, you'll find yourself filling up the tank less with an estimated 31 MPG in the city, 36 highway MPG, and 33 combined MPG.* Now, that is hard to beat.

2019 Kicks vs 2019 HR-V: Safety

We can all agree that safety is one of the most important aspects to look at when in the market for a vehicle. Luckily enough, the Kicks and HR-V feature a suite of available driving aids that will boost confidence.

In both the Nissan Kicks and Honda HR-V, you'll receive similar features. This includes systems that help you stay in the right lane, brake to avoid collisions, and more. However, the Nissan features are a little more advanced.

For example, the Kicks makes available the Around View Monitor® that provides you with a 360-degree view of your vehicle. This can be seen on your standard 7-inch screen for optimal visibility. The Kicks also includes Blind Spot Monitoring.

On the other hand, the Honda CR-V does not come with any sort of Blind Spot Monitoring system and its available Multi-Angle View Camera only provides three views, not a full 360-degree view. Additionally, with a standard screen size of 5 inches, it might be harder to see what the camera picks up.

Kicks vs HR-V: Interior Size

The Nissan Kicks and Honda HR-V both offer the capacity to seat five passengers inside the cabin, although when it comes to roominess, one might leave you wanting a little more.

The 2019 Kicks presents ample space in the front with 40.7 inches of headroom and a legroom of up to 43.7 inches. Additionally, the cargo area in the rear measures 25.3 cubic feet without sacrificing seating space.

Those in the front seat of the HR-V might find themselves more cramped with 39.5 inches of headroom and 41.2 inches of legroom. Plus, with 24.3 cubic feet of cargo space, you'll have one full cubic foot fewer than the Kicks.

2019 Nissan Kicks vs Honda HR-V: Verdict

While the Honda HR-V is impressive in its own right, we think drivers will love the superior fuel economy, interior space, and advanced safety features in the Nissan Kicks.
